After 470,000 traveling miles, the boys in Remedy Drive are in need of a new engine for their tour bus. To make this happen, the guys are asking for fan support via a new Kickstarter campaign to help with the $20,000 cost of getting the bus repaired and back on the road. The Kickstarter perks offered are some pretty unique ones too, with the baseline (just $5) involving your name getting etched on the bus and the biggest perk being a show of your choosing wherever you'd like ($2,400). Perhaps most interestingly, however, is that, for just $20, you will receive a new acoustic recording of all the songs on their latest album, Resuscitate... and a pair of Remedy Drive socks.
About the campaign, the band writes, "We are on the road so often and we've put over 470,000 miles on our tour bus' motor. We are so thankful to have a bus with 6 bunk beds in it and we need your help giving this vehicle a new engine as we prepare to launch into our 2013 spring tour dates bringing us all over the country bringing our new album 'Resuscitate' AND a special acoustic recording of all the songs from 'Resuscitate'. This project of putting a new engine in the bus is the most significant financial investment we've had to make in quite some time. We have found the perfect bus company here in TN to put the engine in and we have a break in the touring schedule to get all engine, hoses, wiring harnesses etc. ordered and installed so that we can get back out on tour early spring."
